UPS Is Putting 3D Printng In Your Hands

Recently, Catherine Clifford  reported that “UPS will be [making] 3-D printing machines available in nearly 100 UPS Stores across the U.S.”.  UPS decided to do this because of the success of “the pilot program they launched in the summer of 2013”.  These printers, called Stratasys uPrint SE Plus, are superior to the 3D printers you would normally be able to buy for personal use.  So, if you wanted to take advantage of this new technology for your business, this is really good news for you!

But, if you are an artist or inventor, don’t forget that you will be giving a third party access to your work.  So, in order to legally prevent theft, don’t forget to protect your most important pieces via copyright or patent before you send it off to UPS for printing.

Currently, UPS will only make 3D printing available in 100 of its 4,400 stores. But, if you really want to use this service, you can find the closest 3D printing UPS store by checking here
